- The new Asus ROG tournament will be starting from April 3 and will last till April 8.
- The tournament promises a prize pool of Rs 1,75,000 to the top contestants.
- The tournament final will be played between the finalists and noted gamer HydraFlick.
The gaming division of Asus, better known as Republic of Gamers (ROG), has announced an online gaming tournament for gamers worldwide. Named The Ultimate Boss Fight, the tournament would allow a team of gamers to challenge the ultimate boss - Hydraflick.
The tournament will see a five-on-five format for the character-based tactical FPS game Valorant. All participating teams will fight in the playoffs to get an opportunity to be the finalist. The finals will then be played off between the winning team and HydraFlick, renowned andar bahar gamen gaming professional.
There is an interesting catch, though. The last stage battle or the ultimate match has a clause that is not often seen in tournaments. If the participating team loses the finals to HydraFlick, the players will have to give up their gaming alias for a week on all fronts except their own YouTube channel.
The clause adds a matter of pride to the whole competition, and players who reach the finals will definitely not be willing to let go of their gaming names so easily.
If the team manages to win, however, it will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000. For the participating team that makes it to the playoffs and wins, a prize of Rs 50,000 is set aside. The playoff runner-up team will get Rs 25,000.
Asus says that a total of 64 teams will be selected for the tournament on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested gamers can sign up for the ROG The Ultimate Boss Fight tournament till 8 pm IST today.
The tournament is due to kick off tomorrow, April 3 and will go on till April 8.
Arnold Su, business head at Asus andar bahar game's consumer and gaming PCs, commented at the launch, "We have always aimed to empower gaming enthusiasts and creators with the best personal experience when it comes to gaming. The Ultimate Boss Fight an online tournament further adds to the thrill. It provides another opportunity like ROG Showdown and ROG Master for the gaming community to collaborate and engage in meaningful experiences that will help them refine their skill further."
